Über does a lot of work with schools, regularly speaking at training and PD days; helping teachers to understand culture and what makes their students tick.
A number of sessions are available and other topics can be explored upon request.

This PD is designed to give teachers a generalised understanding of culture, the various generations and what shapes and forms the lives of students. The content examines key trends, statistics and issues, providing a clear framework for understanding who your students are, how they tick and the worldview that shapes their life and motivations.

This PD is part 2 to understanding Gen Y and provides practical answers and application to the issues and questions raised in the previous session. A series of principles are explored to help integrate and create positive change in your school environment. More hands on than the previous session, this PD gets school teams and departments to work together to not just ‘talk’ but create practical ways forward.
“As a staff we were greatly inspired, stimulated, informed and blessed by Über’s input. Our understanding of young people and their cultural context was deeply enriched as we were enabled to name and analyse the ideas, trends and challenges of our times…we as teachers were inspired and encouraged in our work with young people and challneged and equipped to help students critique their culture, use their gifts, make an impact on their communities and live in the way of Jesus.”

Über’s understanding gen y seminars were an exceptionally helpful journey into a very difficult topic. It was great to see the response from staff was an excited and challenged, ‘let’s try to understand as best we can and seek out more effective ways.’ Strongly recommend to any school who seeks to train and equip teachers to minister effectively to their students.
